I'm on VerveEarth!
I got an email today from Clayton, the creator of VerEarth.com, a Google Maps-like website linked to lots of geographically-oriented sites, and it apparently has lots of bloggers on it, too. Now, it looks like the site is just starting up. I just went there now and signed up to find about 1,200 sites in the US, nearly 1,000 in Europe, less than 100 in Africa and just a smidge over 50 in Communist, Google-banning China. Neat site, though! Anybody who likes reading blogs and loves perusing Google Earth like I do (obsessively) would find it interesting as it promises to be once it really gets going. If you have a blog, go ahead and sign up for it and help get it going if the idea fancies you. I've added a direct link to my pushpin on the site on the right navigation bar and, well, right here, too.
