In keeping with the last post about sounds from space, I've collected a few of my favorite Hubble Space Telescope pictures from this really wonderful gallery website:
HubbleSite.org
They've got some really amazing photos on there, some planets in our own neighborhood, some at the edge of the visible universe. It's truly a host of vivid and baffling images, downloadable as icons, wallpapers, or billboards.

I've always thought that the Hubble space telecope, though had a few problems at first - lol, had really turned out to be one of mankind's great "inventions".
ReplyDeleteI post YouTube videos of space a lot on my blog, and a lot of those come from the Hubble space telescope.
HERE's one example of great shots from Hubble.
Another favorite is THIS one, about the "most important image ever taken" (kinda funny that someone put that silly "Numa Numa" dude in part of it.
I second that.
ReplyDeleteThe mileage we've gotten out of the hubble space telescope program has been phenomenal.
