Open for Business!

News from the European Space Agency!

The Artic's Northwest Passage is now open for business! All that pesky sea ice has final melted enough for whole ships to pass through the narrow corrider of Canada's Northern Territories, finally connecting East Asia to Europe, thereby bypassing much of the need to traffic the Panama Canal. Countries are already staking their claim to the new shipping lanes that have opened open.

Let's just hope the world's shipping harbors aren't completely under water by 2040 when the whole of the Artice ice cap melts.

  1. I was a bit confused with the idea that records have only been kept about this since 1970 .. something... why only so recently?
